Doctor Monica Cantu Voreis
Doctor Monica Cantu Voreis was born at Fort Hood Texas in 1976. Her father Guadalupe Cantu served in the Army, so her mother Beatrice Cantu, and their family lived on several Army bases throughout Europe and the United States of America. Upon returning to the states, Doctor Monica continued high school and graduated in the top five percent of her class from Pace High School. Being a woman with strong family ties, Doctor Monica, gave up several out of state scholarships and decided to stay at the University of Texas at Brownsville. She acquired a degree in chemistry and was then accepted into the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. After four years, Doctor Monica obtained her Doctorate in Dental Surgery in the summer of 2002. Two years into Dental school, Doctor Monica, joined the Air Force, which in turn required she do three years of active duty upon receiving her Doctorate. The Air Force was an opportunity for Doctor Monica to do rotations with any residency that was available. Instead of choosing a residency, Doctor Monica decided to continue working as a general dentist, which allowed her to explore more complicated cases. In 2007 Doctor Monica, along with her husband Kyle Voreis, took a chance and opened up a small family owned practice that has flourished over the years. Doctor Monica is a board certified Dentist whom specializes in everything from cavities, crowns, root canals, and orthodontics. With the support of her family, friends and staff, Doctor Monica continues to see patients of all ages in both Los Fresnos and Rio Hondo.
